Boost Productivity with the Retail & CG Industry Knowledge Bank
In a previous email, I shared an overview of our Retail and Consumer Goods Industry Knowledge Bank.
A common question we receive from customers is how frequently it is updated. The short answer is: almost every week. Some weeks involve substantial additions, while others include smaller refinements.
We also develop and market a portfolio of e-learning classes. Each year, we create new courses and upgrade existing ones. When developing new classes, we intentionally draft the content in a format that allows it to be incorporated into the Knowledge Bank very quickly.
For example, in early 2025 we wrote the content for six to eight classes that will ultimately make up our new Security and Loss Prevention class suite. That content was added to the Knowledge Bank at the time and has been accessible for several months. Similarly, we recently launched a new suite of six classes on selling space management and visual merchandising. While the classes themselves were released a couple of months ago, the content had already been available in the Knowledge Bank for some time.
These are examples of larger updates. Over the same period, we also upgraded 16 of our other classes, resulting in a steady stream of smaller Knowledge Bank updates almost every week throughout 2025.
Because the Knowledge Bank is closely integrated with our e-learning classes, we make conscious design decisions about what content is best suited for structured learning versus what benefits from deeper content or extension of the content within the Knowledge Bank. In all cases, the Knowledge Bank is a core component of Martec’s upskilling and reskilling methodology. If you explore some of the more recent content, you will also see references to the ways that AI will change things. As one example, search for “Supply Chain Control Tower” and read the paragraph immediately above the “Data Analysis” heading. We offered a week’s free access to the knowledge bank in the previous mailing. If you didn’t take it, you can still can. Just click here, enter your details including the phrase free trial in the Message box and we will send you access instructions with no advance payment or credit card details required.
