E-Commerce

This topic includes a detailed overview of e-commerce and omni-channel retailing, which gives a comprehensive description of how online and omni-channel retailing works and associated best practices.  It's immediate companion course is Online Retailing and Omni-Channel which is focused on applying merchandising techniques used in store to successfully using a selection of them in online retailing.

Analyzing Retail KPIs is also included because E-Commerce teams need to be able to read and understand their Department's performance analysis reports and identify appropriate changes that need to be made to improve performance.  If key people in the E-Commerce team did not study Introduction to Retail Financials in their Induction training then this should be added too.

Retail marketing is closely tied to e-commerce since the success of digital marketing has accelerated greatly since e-commerce made CRM and loyalty programs much more affordable and with better ROI.

Introduction to Store Operations and Overview of Buying & Merchandising are included too because of omni-channel development and the interaction between E-Commerce teams and B&M departments who often buy their stock.  E-Commerce companies that are more stand alone, or do buy additional product ranges not sold in stores may need a deeper knowledge of Buying & Merchandising.
